Ad Council/Environmental Defense Global Warming Campaign
Shell is pleased to support the Ad Council's and Environmental Defense's new public education campaign on climate change. Shell shares the widespread concern that the emission of greenhouse gases (GHG) from human activities is leading to changes in the global climate. Oil and gas will continue to provide an important share of the world’s energy needs in this century, and we clearly recognize the challenge of meeting future energy demand while simultaneously addressing the issue of climate change.
We believe action is required to lay the foundation for eventually stabilizing GHG concentrations in the atmosphere in an equitable and economically responsible way. Acting now and encouraging others to act now is part of being a responsible corporate citizen. This campaign will show individual Americans how they, too, can help.
